This is the cloud adoption story of Norrøna, an outdoor clothing brand with almost a century's worth of experience facing the harshest storms in an ultra-competitive business environment.
We'll explain our multi-year journey moving away from classical monoliths in legacy C# framework and Java technology. We went from running on an excessive number of virtual machines and even physical servers to a modern cloud native infrastructure.
We went from manually configured web servers and internal applications where each update entails a 15 minute downtime to automated blue-green deployments in Kubernetes.
Today, we can seamlessly migrate forward with automatically deployed updates within minutes from the git commit.
